In my dreams I saw your past
An amber lake in frozen dust
A silent voice between your ears
To feed on yours most primal fears
Get your gun and wipe them down
There is no god to blow your crown
As crimson light deep in your eyes
I'll rise from frozen lake to skies
Rising star
Above your cursed world
Looking down
Into your withered souls
What can you see
From inside your frightened eyes
What can you do
When your mind is failing you
In your nightmares will be pain
From depths of frozen amber lake
You'll start to question own thoughts
To limit visions you behold
Darkest characters of your mind
Born by the one insane inside
They're in your eyes they're in your head
They want to frozen amber lake
Run or cry until the end
Or hid yourself under the bed
There's nothing else for you to try
The curse at last is in your mind
Hide your thoughts but can't you see
Your mind and soul belongs to me
Your breath will be all gone by noon
The star of death is rising soon

I was always intrigued by this group's choice of album covers, it isn't every day that you see high quality space photos in this genre despite the rise of "cosmic" black metal. But the music blew me away, this sounds like Austere took the atmospheric spacey route. (I will assume it's a coincidence that both bands are Australian) porcelainheart-

A truly stellar death/doom album with heavy doses of black metal. Tracks like Isolation, Child of Light, and Broken Hymns deliver the sorrowful and icy tone of this album, elevated by the stirring cello compositions of Raphael Weinroth-Browne. The album delivers a deeply satisfying crescendo in Becoming Intangible before stirring the soul once again with Epilogue. Matt Richardson
Finnish death metallers leaven infernal dynamics with triumphant, infectious melodies, striking a compelling balance between grit and grace. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 25, 2023

It's haunting. It's chaos. It's energy. It's fatigue. It's happiness. It's sadness. It's love. It's hate. This is close to the perfect black metal album for me. Marcello Velasco
