I wish my life to fade
To fall into this dream
No questions asked
No suffering or fear
I wish this light would fade
But still I'm full of hate
Just like before
Like nothing is ever changed
Last thing that holds you back
Humanity prevents you
To hide the fear that you can't hide
To ride the wind that you can't ride
Obey the voice in depths
And break your moral prison
To rush the thought that you could rush
To crush the foe that you could crush
This world it torn apart
Away from it's remains
But maybe here
I'll find something else
A chance to be a man
I've never meant to be
But my regrets
They're always part of me
I have the final choice
Forget all what I am
So many roads
I wonder what's ahead
But how could I dismiss
My hopes my dreams my past
The truth in me
When all I am is dust

Desolator have the distinction of creating music that should appeal to any fan of the various death metal sub genres. You’re going to find both brutal (Adversarial Doctrine) and melodic (Methods of Self-deception) tracks; the album has an old school feel while not really falling into OSDM worship. The technical aspect is by no means central, but tech death fans should appreciate the riff craft on display (Creatures of Habit). I even got a Sepultura vibe from the drums on the last track. I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli
Finnish death metallers leaven infernal dynamics with triumphant, infectious melodies, striking a compelling balance between grit and grace. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 25, 2023
